Filmmakers Andrea & Shane of Torchlights films, approached Energy Architecture to create a new home for their relocation from Wellington to striking family land near Middlemarch in Otago. Their high performance, off grid home was built in southland before been transported to site. Now nestled between rocks above a small lake, the house blends with the existing house and old barn, respecting the landscape that inspired the design.
